Origins

Legend has it that this raga was created by Bilas Khan, competing of Miyan Tansen, after circlet father's death. It is alleged that while trying to air Todi, his father's favorite raga, in the wake of coronate father, Bilas was so doleful that he mixed up fillet notes.
